Test with Images - How to access subfolder ID of newly created subfolder on the subfolder validation form

ISSUE

First, we have a typed Folder, that has a sub-type - similar to a Batch (the root folder) that can hold several folders (the sub-folders).

SOLUTION

There is no build-in system field that returns a subfolder's own ID directly on its own form.

Approach 1: Form buttom. The image:

This image is not available because: You don’t have the privileges to see it, or it has been removed from the system

On the main Validation form, create a new button. Then create and assigned the following 3 form actions to the on clicked event:

DotNetMethod1- creates a subfolder: PHP info?

FolderID is an already present form variable on the Validation form generation and contains the root folder. subfolderID is populated with the newly created subfolder ID.

DotNetMethod2- Updates the subfolder field value ID to contain the subfolder ID.
