Capture and DST/Time Zone Changes

ISSUE

Does Capture require any patches or configuration changes when a region changes its Daylight Saving Time (DST) rules or adopts a new time zone policy?

A customer using Kofax Capture, KIC, KTM, and the Documentum Export Connector asked whether any product patches or configuration changes are required when a jurisdiction changes its Daylight Saving Time (DST) policy or adopts a permanent time zone.

The customer wanted to understand whether the change would impact product functionality or timestamp handling within the Capture environment.

SOLUTION

1. No product-specific patches or configuration changes are required solely due to DST or time zone policy changes.
2. Capture relies on the local Windows system time and regional settings and does not use a separate time zone configuration.
3. Ensure Windows time zone updates are applied and that all Capture client workstations use consistent regional settings.
